The Waldorf early childhood offers several options to accommodate the individual needs of children and families. Choose from Parent-Child, Pre-School or Kindergarten classes. Our classes are a gentle place where children can imagine freely both outdoors and indoors while developing social skills in a secure and comfortable environment.

Our early childhood programs nourish the senses of the growing child through a healthy, warm, inviting environment. Our teachers nurture each child and family with care and intention. A balanced structure and curriculum lays a strong foundation for a child’s future academic success in the grade school.

We offer three-day or five-day mixed aged early childhood classes for children three to six years of age.


NATURE

Outdoor play, nature walks, and field trips facilitate learning about the physical world while nourishing the children's sense of awe and wonder as important prerequisites for the exploration of the sciences in elementary school.


MOVEMENT

Imitation of teacher and others during movement circle encourages both large and small motor work.


RHYTHM

Daily, weekly and seasonal rhythm lovingly connects the children to the world around them.


LANGUAGE ARTS

Stories, songs and nursery rhymes told in class cultivate in the children a love for the wonders and joyful world of language.


MATHEMATICS

Sequencing and number skills are developed through counting games and rhythmic activities during circle movement and singing.


SOCIAL SKILLS

Children are provided an opportunity for creative thinking and problem solving with other children through their imaginative interactions and teacher-directed activities.


FOOD

An organic fruit of whole grains, fruits and vegetables served each day while children assist in meal preparation and clean-up.
